I have been looking high and low in search for the prefect travel camera backpack that would be extremely functional and durable. Last year I bought Shimoda Action x30 backpack and never looked back! But this year Shimoda launched their new Kickstarter campaign for Explore V2 backpacks and this is yet another very well thought out project by Shimoda! I did get the 25L version and I think it is a very nice size! The Explore V2 25 is Shimoda’s smallest adventure pack. Built for photographers who want to venture into demanding locations but also need to travel globally just to start the adventure, its size meets the strictest international carry-on regulations and is small enough to fit under most airline seats. Its overall footprint makes it a very friendly option to those long searching for a high-end camera pack that can accommodate photographers with a smaller torso. The E25 is stocked with numerous travel smart features ensuring your adventures go as smooth as possible. Lockable zippers, a hidden passport pocket and a luggage pass-through handle compliment the adventure-driven comfort and durability. It’s all packaged in a sleek design bound to satisfy the pickiest of creators.
Designed to hold similar gear to the Fuji X-T4 and Sony a7 series, and can accommodate a Canon 5D or similar-sized camera.

- Multiple Access Points – The pack offers rear and side access options. - Adjustable Torso Height – 3 height options with approximately 7.5 cm (3 in) of vertical adjustment allows the same backpack to fit short or tall — male or female — torso heights, ensuring a custom fit for everyone.
- Small Mirrorless Core Unit Modular Camera Insert Included – Core Units provide shockproof protection for Mirrorless, SLR and DSLR cameras and lenses, and they ensure a user never carries more padding and weight than necessary. A user can increase their layout options with two or more Core Units by stacking and shifting how they are placed in the pack.
- Tripod & Water Bottle Pockets – Quick-deploying pockets on both sides of the pack can be used to fit a water bottle, tripod or other outdoor equipment.
