It was built using a scientifically credible database of taxonomic information containing 656,000 scientific names, of which more than 85% have been verified in literature. Furthermore, specific nomenclature is targeted to use as keywords from the taxonomic hierarchy - providing accurate, consistent, and thorough meta-data for your images.
The list contains over 30,000 species of birds, mammals, and plants. Common names, scientific names, and important species classification data are included within the list’s keyword hierarchies.
