Image keywording is not only important to speed up searches through your own image library, but it’s also an important factor for online buyers to be able to find your images. Since different buyers will search for different terms, every accurate keyword added to an image increases the chances it will be found in a search by a buyer.
The Plants Keyword List is a controlled vocabulary for Adobe Bridge, Lightroom, Apple Aperture, and Photo Mechanic. It was built using a scientifically credible database of taxonomic information containing 656,000 scientific names, of which more than 85% have been verified in literature. Furthermore, specific nomenclature is targeted to use as keywords from the taxonomic hierarchy - providing accurate, consistent, and thorough meta-data for your images.
The list contains over 20,000 species of plants with multi-language translations for keywords (where available). Common names, scientific names, and important species classification data are included within the list’s keyword hierarchies.
